But without them, Amused Bouche would not have been born. Seriously, after years of obsessive carb cutting, low fat diets, watercress soup, juicing, and basically jumping on any old diet bandwagon to shed the kilos, we decided to can it and do some research instead. We’ve created this blog to share our knowledge with you.
We aren’t telling you to pack away the food scales or to stop what you’re doing, if it works for you. The idea is that you know what’s going on inside your body, and have made a well-researched decision to stop or proceed. We’re also giving you some healthy nutrient-dense recipes which taste absolutely amazing.
Our takeaway message is that you are more than a number on the scale, and your health and sanity should not suffer for the sake of aesthetics. We compiled this blog to share our experiences with restrictive eating with you, and to tell you that it’s okay to eat carbs, fats, and proteins. A cheat day won’t kill you.
